Add page numbers and a contents page to PDFs

A document pack is easier to review when each source has a clear place in the finished PDF. PDFEazy can generate a contents page from your file names and add page numbers across the complete result.

Build an indexed pack

  1. Add your PDF documents and JPG or PNG photos.
  2. Put the files in the order you want. Use clear source file names because the contents page uses those names.
  3. Enter a PDF title and select Add a contents page.
  4. Select Number the pages. Optionally enter a reference prefix such as APP-.
  5. Create the PDF, then check the contents entries and page references before sharing.

How the numbering works

References use the prefix followed by a six-digit number, for example APP-000001. The footer also shows the current page and total pages. Contents pages are included in that count. Packs with more than 20 source documents use additional contents pages.

Will numbers cover my document?

PDFEazy adds space below existing source-page content before drawing the footer. This changes the output page height. If your receiving portal requires exact A4 dimensions, leave numbering off or verify its page-size rules before submitting.

Names, forms and originals

The contents font supports basic Latin characters; unsupported characters display as question marks. Original names remain in the optional file record. Filled forms become visible, non-editable page content. Digital signatures are not transferred, and signed PDFs are rejected. Keep your original documents and review the new pack.
