Prepare a spreadsheet for AI with selected columns and clear types

Before sharing a spreadsheet with an AI tool, decide which columns it actually needs. PDFEazy lets you inspect and reduce a table locally, then download a structured JSON export or a values-only Excel file.

Prepare the handoff

  1. Import an XLSX, CSV or TSV file and inspect its sheet.
  2. Choose Clean, filter & export. Uncheck columns that should not be shared, such as contact details or internal notes.
  3. Review the retained data. Private information can appear in free-text cells even when an obvious contact column is removed.
  4. Create the result and download JSON. It contains column names, observed value types and rows, with a marker that cell text is untrusted user data.
  5. Review the receiving service’s privacy and retention settings before choosing to send it the export yourself.

Does PDFEazy use an AI model?

No. This release performs deterministic local transformations. It does not upload documents to an AI provider, send a prompt or train a model. Text inside cells is treated as data rather than executed instructions.

What is removed?

Unchecked columns are excluded from every result file. Outputs are newly constructed: no original workbook, hidden sheet, chart, comment or formula is embedded. Hidden data requires explicit inclusion before processing. This is column selection, not automatic personal-data detection or a complete anonymization guarantee.

Should I include provenance?

The optional change record is a separate download. It contains filenames, column names, filter text and row references, which can themselves be sensitive. Leave it off or keep it privately when the recipient only needs the clean data.
