Clean Excel and CSV files without uploading them

PDFEazy helps turn a rectangular Excel or CSV table into a new, values-only file. It runs on your device and leaves the original unchanged. It is useful for a recurring export with extra columns, padded IDs or repeated rows.

Clean a table

  1. Open Excel & spreadsheets and choose XLSX, UTF-8 CSV or TSV files. Try the sample invoices if you want to explore first.
  2. Set the header row if your workbook starts with a title. Use Re-read files after changing import settings.
  3. Choose a sheet and review its data-quality summary.
  4. Choose Clean, filter & export. Select only the transformations you need, and uncheck columns you do not want in the output.
  5. Create the result, inspect the preview and download a new file. Save settings to reuse the same choices on a later export.

How are duplicates and empty values handled?

Duplicate removal compares all retained values after optional trimming. It keeps the first matching row. Blank-row removal requires every retained cell to be empty. Missing cells remain missing; PDFEazy does not invent a zero, date or category. Filtering performs a case-insensitive literal text match.

Will IDs and formulas change?

CSV values stay text, including leading zeros. XLSX preserves numeric, text and Boolean cell types; date-formatted and zero-padded numeric cells become their displayed text. Formulas do not run. Retained formulas require explicit acceptance of their saved cached results, and missing results or Excel errors are rejected.

Choose an output

XLSX and JSON preserve value types. CSV protects formula-like text with a leading apostrophe, but another application may still infer numbers or dates. PDF tables support up to 500 rows and 12 columns with basic Latin text. No charts, formatting or workbook formulas are copied.
